Our two kittens are about 13 weeks old. I've been free feeding Taste of the Wild dry food, because that's what my adults eat, but they aren't eating it. The male will nibble on it when he starts to get hungry, but not a lot. It's like they know that they'll be getting canned food, so they hold out. They'll eat some of it if I sprinkle it on their canned food, but mostly they just eat around it.
My question is, should I try to feed them a different dry food? Maybe they just don't like this kind, or the kibble is too big?
At first I thought it would be easier to feed all 4 cats the same food, but I am doing scheduled feedings now because the adult female is slightly overweight. Since I do scheduled feedings and I feed the kittens in a separate room, they can probably have different food anyways. (I feed the kittens 3-4 times a day).
They all get about 2/3 of their diet as wet food. The kittens obviously get more wet, since I'm having trouble getting them to eat the dry.
thanks for any ideas.
