Hello everyone, I'm somewhat new here.
I have a dilemma. About three months ago we took in a stray and her three kittens. She actually brought the kittens to us after we fed her for a month. We have had them now for three months with the good intentions of finding them all loving and permanent homes. They are de-wormed, flea treated, and the mother tested negative for FIV/Felv.
I wanted to get them vaccinated but we've run into some financial problems that have left us with nothing. Since we have brought in the fosters, one of our own cats started to come down with a recurring UTI (4 times!) which cost us a ton in vet bills already.
I have looked for homes for the past three months but all I have gotten are people who want barn cats. I have posted signs in stores and on the web, as well as at the vets. And I have contacted numerous resuces trying to find one that will take them. My search has proved fruitless.
My husband and I gave up our bedroom for them. All this time, we have be sleeping on the floor in the living room. We never expected it to be this long, or hard to find homes for a few kittens.
The kittens are:
Quill, silver male tabby. He is somewhat shy when it comes to being petted. Around his siblings he is more comfortable about it but still prefers against it. He needs to go into a home without kids who will stress him out. He is very sweet and he doesn't hide at all, he just hates to be picked up. He has warmed up to me immensely and I know he'll warm up to his owners as well. I don't think he'll ever be a lap cat though.
Nimbus, male smoke tabby. He is super sweet and super outgoing and on top of that he is gorgeous!! He can go into any home situation and I think he'll be just fine. He is a lover and loves to be around and with people.
Asuka, female calico (swirl pattern) She also is extremely outgoing and friendly. And I even have her doing tricks, she'll jump for my hand, climb our cresser like a ladder, and if she's up high, she'll hi-five you! She is amazing and she's pretty fearless.
They are all around four months old now, we have had them since they were about four weeks old.
We are going to try and keep the mother here with us, seeing that she chose us as her family. She's about a year old and is identical to Quill.
Please, if anyone can help us out. They need homes and they need them fast. I an not asking much for them, except that they go to a great home where they'll be given a lot of love and affection and will b spayed/neutered.
I cannot afford to feed them and house them anymore because of Neko's UTI's as well as the fact that I don't make much money.
My last resort is to take them to the only shelter out here and they euthanize! I don't want to have to resort to that, but it's coming down to the wire. If someone is interested or can foster them until they find homes, please!
Please contact me via email if you are interested. I can send you pics of them and let you know more!!
Please someone help us!!
