We'll be heading to the vet in about an hour for the two little kittens first check. They are 6 and a half weeks old, so it's just an exam and fecal, no shots yet. The only thing I'm worried about is the fecal....cuz I'm pretty sure they have coccidia. The reasons I think this are:
I've had a cat with this problem before (Lola had a hell of a time with it when she was small) and I'm noticing similar colour/consistency issues with the kittens' stool.
Also, although these new kittens are not from the same mum as Lola (her mum's been spayed and vaccinated now
) they are from an unvaccinated cat who lives in the same neighbourhood, so I know it's very possible.
Plus, coccidia is like the bane of kitten existance, so I won't be surprised.
What I'm wondering about is whether anyone knows what the starting weight/age is for albon? I'm not sure they'll be old enough to treat right away......
