I have an 18 year old cat, Spice, and two new kittens (tasha and timmy or T2). We are slowly getting them used to each other. We monitor their interactions and are keeping them separated while we are not there. So far so good.
The problem that we are having is T2 eats Spice's food. Spice is on special food for her kidneys and T2 has their kitten formula food. They are fed in separate rooms and have dry food available all day long. We feed the wet food at the same. Spice sometimes eats her wet food right away but not all of it. She typically eats it throughout the night. So we have to keep either Spice or T2 in their bedrooms all night.
I'd like to get to a point where we can leave the cats together and the kittens leave Spice's food alone. Any thoughts?
