my kittens will be 4 weeks tomorrow and when they are in the cat box they eat the liter why would they do that? It can't be good for them and what would make them eat it? any advice will be helpful
Eating the litter in normal. They all seem to do it. That is why you should be using something safe for their digestive tracts. No clumping litter. Yesterday's News is good. I am just using plain non clumping cat litter.Originally Posted by cupcake1234516

When littertraining very young kittens, I use shredded newspaper and gradually add clay litter underneath as they get older (decreasing the amount of newspaper slightly with each changing)Originally Posted by cupcake1234516
i dumped the liter out and put newspaper in the box about an hour ago so we are trying that now so i will let you know if they use it
