We have got a new kitten (11weeks) who has had runny poo for three days and on a number of ocassions there has been blood and mucus in her poo. I took her to the vets to have her checked over and to ask about the poo and the vet told me her general health was very good and that the pooing problem could be worms, so she was wormed at the vets. I was also told to put her on plain chicken for a few days. That was five days ago so in the last couple of days I have started to reintroduce her kitten food.
Since reintroducing her kitten food her poo has gone very dark in colour and is now slightly running but sticky. This has meant that it has been getting caught on her fur, so she is dragging her bottom around the floor to wipe it clean.
Does anyone have any advice for me on the above? It's been a very long time since I've had a kitten so I want to make sure I am doing everything right.
Overall she is extremely healthy and is full of energy!
