I’ve noticed that my 2 months old Persian kitten has sparse fur. It’s long, but not as thick as my other Persian cats’ fur when they were still kittens. It’s particularly thinner around her belly and hind legs, you can even see the skin. She has been dewormed and she does not have fleas. Her diet consists of 3 wet meals a day and free fed dry food. I personally don’t mind if her coat isn’t as pretty as my other Persian cats, I adore her irregardless, but i’m worried that it might be caused by an underlying health problem.

I don’t have that much background info about her cos it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve taken her under my wing. All I know was that she was weaned early, around 6-7 weeks. Please help.

I don't know much about Persians, but I do know they have an undercoat. You could check with someone who knows the breed to see whether this is normal; it may thicken as she ages?
Ringworm is very distinctive and doesn't really lead to generally sparse hair.
