5 weeks ago I rescued a 4 month old kitten. She was living in someones backgarden with lots of other cats/kittens. We were told she was wormed and to repeat in 3 months as normal. However, the other night, she threw up some roundworms. She was immediately treated with half a milbemax - which she promptly brought back up 30 mins later.

I spoke to the vet who said it was fine to treat her again. This one stayed down.

The next day i noticed she had a live worm hanging from her mouth - she swiftly ate it before i could kill it.

The reason i am asking is that the vet told me there would be evidence of worms in her poop - 48 hours later and no sign. Is this normal?

I fully intend to treat her in 2 weeks time after all that i've read, but i'm just paranoid that it hasn't worked. I think seeing her playing with one has freaked me out.

Can anyone shed any light on whether you will always see dead worms in the litter tray?
