I have a kitten I had gotten from a friend on Monday. I brought him to the vet on Tuesday and he was prescribed dewormer for 5 days. The vet warned us about throwing up and pooping out worms. But I can't help but worry. He has trouble feeding from the bottle so it takes upwards to 40 minutes to get it all down but the vet said I was doing everything right. I'm feeding him 3 1/2 tablespoons (the whole bottle) of KMR every 6 hours. And today he threw up at 6am and at 12noon when I fed him. And also at 12noon he had so much poop on his own (he just started pooping without stimulation). He also has a lot of gas but every feeding I burp him. Today also i noticed he has a stuffy nose and I hear it when he's awake only. He stopped mewing everytime I hold him too and didn't make a sound when I had to clean his butt. Is he doing okay? Are these just side affects from the dewormer? Nothing was wrong yesterday at the vet.

Also the vet wants me to bottle feed him til next week as his premolars just started to erupt and he is small for his age.

Possibly. How old is the kitten and how much does he weigh?

What dewormer did the vet give?

When he threw up, was it the entire meal?

He's 5 weeks old. He weighs .88 lb. The vet prescribed 5 servings of .2 ml of Panacur Suspensions 10%. He had to take

It’s probably just side effects from the panacur. Continue to observe and keep us posted. :)

His throw up is no longer white and chunky and it is yellowish and smells horrible. His poops are mostly mustard color with some darker spots. Now when he's going to throw up he mews like he's in pain. And he stops after he throws up. Still not throwing up the whole feeding though.

.88 pounds sounds really tiny. Is the vet sure that the dosage is correct?
Poor guy, I hope he feels better soon.

The vet seemed to know what he was talking about. This is a new vet for me because my last vet didn't do anything to help my animals.

His pee is still the same super pale yellow almost clear. He is peeing less for me but i think that's because he can pee without stimulation. He hasn't pooped at all today since 11pm yesterday. I tried stimulation and still no poop. Should I try to feed him less to see if he still throws it up? Or should I feed him more to make sure he does get some nutrients.

Stop giving him the panacur immediately because it is making him sick. See if he returns to eating well, no vomiting, and regular pooping. He needs hydrating after the vomiting. At this point it is more important that he eat and grow. He is too small for panacur.
