Kitten Seems To Get Hyper Late At Night...

So, I just got a 6-month-old kitten over the holidays. He isn't fixed if that makes a difference, but I've noticed that around 10:30-11:00PM, he starts getting extremely hyperactive and crazy. Is this normal? This is my first kitten that's been solely my responsibility, so I just want to make sure this is normal behavior...

If you aren't exhausting him with at least two play sessions during the day, yes this is normal!

Neutering is really going to help him. He's just entering sexual maturity, and his hormones are starting to kick. And do this sooner, rather than later, AFTER he starts spraying.

Now, neutered or unneutered, kittens have a LOT of energy. Try this bedtime schedule...play with your kitten HARD with a wand toy, get him panting. THEN feed, then bed. That's the natural cycle of a cat's day...hunt, kill, groom, sleep. Sticking with this lets you work with nature, rather than against it.
