I have an odd issue and I'm not sure if it belongs under kittens or behaviour, but here goes.
I have 2 kittens, Paris and Cairo that I got when they were 6 weeks old. Paris is now 8 weeks old and Cairo is 7 weeks. Since we got her, Paris would wake up at 3-4 am and come lick my face, basically anything she could get ahold of. I move away from her, but she's so persistant. Finally 2 nights ago she discovered my knuckles which I let her lick. After a few minutes of licking them, she went straight to sucking them like they were her mom. I let her do this for 15 minutes until it started to hurt, and then switched her to the other hand. She purrs and kneads like she would if she was nursing her mom, and she seems entirely content. It's soooo cute, but is this normal?
My other concern is that it wakes Cairo up who sees Paris and thinks there's something for her too. When she tries to imitate and gets nothing, she gets frustrated and starts attacking Paris.
Is there such a thing as a kitten pacifier? Should I get them a bottle?
