Hello all,
This is my first post here, so bear with me. My 10-month old kitten might have eaten one of my dog's 136 mg Baytril tablet. My dog has some corneal ulcers that have gotten infected, resulting in administration of some heavy antibiotics. His last tablet was sitting on my living room table in an envelope last night, and this morning I found it on the floor ripped open, pill gone. I figured the cat might have batted it across the floor somewhere, under a piece of furniture or something. I've looked everywhere, and I can't find it. Somebody ate it. My pets are notorious for teaming up to get something down off a shelf or table and the cat rips the bag to shreds, while the pitbull eats the contents. Happens all the time. I don't know whether this happened, or if the cat ate it himself.
I've been doing some research online now for a number of hours, and everything I see seems to tell me that evidence of blindness has occured in groups of cats that were given 50 mg/lb a day for 5-10 days. Since my cat only possibly ate like 25 mg/lb today... once... should it be something to be worried about? He's a very healthy kitten and has a hearty appetite. If he ate it, it was about 8 - 10 hours ago and I haven't noticed any vomiting, dizziness or lethargy. He's been running around here like crazy all day. He just ate a 1/2 bowl of food, and I fed him a full one this morning. He's laying down next to my pit right now, but I think he's just comforting him because he's wearing a cone of shame and not too happy about it...
I've included some links to helpful information that I've found online.

Anybody have any ideas? I would take him to the vet, but I'd really like to avoid it if possible... Honestly, I'm stretching myself way thin dealing with my dog's eyesight issues at the moment.
Thank you.
