Kitten eating Kitten Attract litter

My new kitten is here for the first day. After exploring and seeing the litterbox, he started eating litter. I'm only worried because this is clumping litter. I stopped him as soon as he started, but don't want any future issues.

Any tips on how to prevent him from eating litter?

I would monitor him very closely as you do not want him eating clumping litter.  Kittens are naturally curious.  But if the behavior continues, you will need to make some changes.  First off switch to a non clumping litter.  Secondly, call your vet.  He may need to be seen.

It's improved today. My fiancé said he hasn't eaten any and has been using it. Hopefully it stays that way!

I use clumping litter and had some kittens eat it. It's pretty common and it is a phase. However, I did hiss when they did it to tell them it was bad. They grew up up to be normal and healthy.
