Absolutely correct. I just wasn't thinking when I typed it. Thank youActually, Albon will inhibit coccidia until the kitten's immune system is strong enough to suppress it on its own.
Ponazuril will kill coccidia within 3 doses, but vets usually use it for horses.
Panacur kills giardia.
Albon kills bacteria in the gastro-intestinal tract.
The vet won't necessarily find coccidia or giardia in fecals. There are specific tests for it if the vet sends it out. It's easier just to treat for it in case it's undetected.
