Just became a member of this forum today, and I wanted to take a few moments to properly introduce myself and my family to all of you, before I begin posting in other areas of this site...
I'm Annie, a SAHM (stay at home mom) from St. George, Utah... My husband, Nathan, and I were both born and raised in Southern California, but we came out here two years ago to begin a new life. We have two little boys, Connor Michael who was born in May 2006 and Hayden Lucas, who was born prematurely in May 2007.
We have quite an extensive "fur-family" as well.
We have four dogs... two German Shepherds, a Labrador Retriever, and an American Pitbull Terrier.
We also have five indoor cats...
"Citrus" came with my hubby when I met him...
He's a red and white marbled DSH, about 6 years old or so. He's great with the kids, absolutely adores our toddler.
"Malibu", a.k.a. Boo, is a 4 year old seal mitted Ragdoll.
She was born into my first and only litter when I raised Ragdolls... She is a manx, a birth defect left her tail having to be amputated, but she's quite the cutie, and an absolute sweetheart. She loves everyone.
"Mojo" is a 4 year old blue mitted Ragdoll.
He's our BIG guy, weighing in at 25 lbs... and no, he isn't fat! He's got massive paws, huge bones, and just an overwhelming presence.
"Nadia" is a 5 year old seal mitted bicolor Ragdoll.
She is Boo's mother. She came to me from an awful cattery situation, one I cannot even speak of without my eyes filling with tears. She is a special girl.
And just today, we added a 5th kitty to the mix. We've actually been searching for him for several days, he's been out on the street crying night after night, and we could never seem to find him... Finally, this morning, I pinpointed his crying to my neighbor's Jeep, and it turns out he was caught up in the engine. We took him in, bathed him to get all the grease and oil off, and filled his tummy... He's a bit shy and flighty, but if you move slow and talk softly, he warms up and will perch on your shoulder and purr. He's a cream tabby, probably between 6-8 weeks of age. Very cute. We're still tossing around names, hubby wants to call him Misfit, I kind of like the name Mandarin. We'll have to see what we settle on.
Anyway, that was my "quick" intro, LOL!
Look forward to meeting you all!
- Annie
P.S. I noticed several members have siggies with their cats and dogs in them... My current computer wont support any programs such as Photoshop, so I cannot make siggies... I have to have them made for me.
Would anyone be interested in making me one?
I'd love that!
