Hello everyone! I just stumbled across this site while doing some research and found it to be very attractive so I just signed up! My name is Sherri and I'd like to introduce Nikki to you.
Nikki has the most unique personality I have ever seen in a cat (and I've been owned by many over the years
). He is kind, trusting, affectionate, and SPOILED ROTTEN! What makes him very special is that he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy -- a heart disease where areas of heart muscle enlarge and thicken – at the age of 6 weeks. After researching many cases of the feline disease, I found that the average life span of cats with this genetic disease is 5 – 7 years. I am happy to say that he just celebrated his 11th birthday this past Valentineâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Day. He is considered to be a significant part of my family and my life. His spunk and energy keep me going through hard times when they arise (most recently my grandmother's passing). He is loved very much.
I look forward to being a part of such a resourceful and fruitful forum. I am more than happy to participate and offer any advice I can give any of you or, at the least, share in your little furball's adventures!
