I just found out I passed and got my G.E.D.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm almost 33 years old and finally decided to pursue it about 3 months ago, and yesterday the instructor called with the scores!!! Her first word was "Congratulations." and I promptly started crying......I was so worried about my essay. The topic was "If you had a million dollars to give away to a charity or organization, who would you give it to? You cannot keep any money, nor give it to family or friends." I wrote about a wonderful organization called O.R.C.A.---(Organization for the Responsible Care of Animals)--- they are a no-kill animal shelter here in PA. After I wrote it, though, I started worrying maybe I should have picked a more well known cause, since the tests go out to Kansas to be graded.
But, all that worrying was for nothing.......I passed!!!!
In fact, here are my scores: (For those of you who do not know, you need a minimum score of 410 per test to pass, plus a combined score of all 5 tests totalling a minimum of 2250 points.)
Language Arts/Writing: 530
Social Studies: 640
Science: 640
Language Arts/Reading: 800
Perfect score by the way.
Math: 630
Total score: 3240
