My little chocolate brown ex-barn kitten Grace will be (per our vet's best guess) 6 months old at the end of this month, so it's that time. She's getting spayed and microchipped on May 22. I have no qualms at all about the fact that pets absolutely must be neutered. I've never had a pet that wasn't, heck, even my bunny is spayed! But all my past kitties and the other three I have now have been shelter kitties, relieving me of having to fret over the prospect of surgery. So now I'm going out of my mind with worry that something will go wrong. I know it's a necessity, I know it's the best thing for her, I like and trust my vet (he's been my vet for over 20 years)...it's just that totally irrational worry.
I just needed to share that with other kitty folks who understand. She and I would appreciate good thoughts/vibes being sent her way!
Here's a couple pics...the first pic we took of her when we got her in January, and a pic of her now.
