I had mamma spayed today and honestly I think it was almost as traumatizing for me as it was for her. I brought her home only a few hours after surgery because the organization where I had her surgery done does not keep them overnight. Now I have never had a female cat before so this whole thing is kind of new to me but I am a wreck.
I tried to put the collar on her and she flipped out rolling all over the floor trying to get it off banging into things and just acting like a mad woman so I took it off as I was afraid she would hurt herself. I read on here just to leave it unless she tries to bother it too much, well of course she was licking it like crazy so I tried the sock thing. she did NOT go for that at all, I don't think I have a loose enough fitting sock, no men in my house. she started to scream and cry so I quickly took it off.
well she is still licking at it and honestly im not even quite sure what the incision is supposed to look like to keep an eye on it, they used dissolvable stitches and glue so I can not even see if there are stitches and where they are or if she got them out already. there is no blood or anything and it does not look open but I really don't know what to do for her. she is sleeping right now thankfully but im afraid if I leave her alone all night she will wake up and start messing with it again .
Someone help me please!!
