The good news is that there were 2 empty cages when I got there. Those two were adopted Saturday.
The kitten surge is waning, so we have a few that are in the 12-week range, and only one really young one.
They put two big guys in the empty cages. One is a white and tabby guy that weighs 16 pounds. He's friendly, happy, and let me brush him for a long time. I got a double handful of underfur off him, so he should feel better.
The other guy is good-sized, too, but not like that. And he has a front declaw that looks like someone did it with an axe; he was really butchered (It's not fresh, and it doesn't seem to particularly bother him.)
Ella's nose is looking better.
