I'm really watching for copperheads too...... This is their season. So far I have only seen one small black snake ...
Please let us know something if you are able to find something out about Charlie, I know how bad your heart is hurting right now.Originally Posted by jcribbs
One of the pounds that we were on a waiting list for called this morning. They had an opening for Charlie. We took him... It was a very sad time but we held it together.
And even though it was sad, we are relieved. The house is back to normal or nealy so. The animals are more relaxed. Molly has her crate and her doghouse back and she is thrilled. She has her back yard back as well.. When her nose heals, there will be no signs he has ever been here. We thought it was just Emma he was biting and so we started keeping her in the house more. Molly was being injured. I am doctoring her wounds now from a fight this morning. We tried hard and did all we could. Juan told the pound that Charlie had an appointment tomorrow to get fixed and they said, if we wait he would lose his spot. So we opted for the pound... We needed him out of our house.
I hope he finds a good life where he is the only animal.. That's what he needs in order to be happy.
I seriously doubt after this ordeal I will ever pick up another dog on the side of the road. I don't regret helping charlie but I do regret what it did it our household. But I can already tell a difference in the realxed nature of things.
I let Molly and Emma out earlier and they went swimming at the lake while we went to town... They are both exhausted now and sleeping inside.
This has been quite the ordeal and I leaned a huge lesson in what NOT to do.
