When I came in from shoveling this morning Mazy met me at the door. that's not unusual, but her behavior was. As I took off my boots and hung up my coat she kept dashing half way up the stairs and staring up at the wall saying "prrt! PRRT!"

I thought she had a bug up there, but when I looked up I saw this:

Of course I hurried upstairs to get the camera, and on my way back down to take the shots from beneath her I took this one:

This way?

Or that way?

Off she went!

(my camera was too slow to catch the actual leap, it's a cheap thing)

I was a little nervous, but there wasn't anything I could do about it as I was afraid to spook her by reaching for her.

They sit along the half wall that goes around the stairs all the time, you know how cats love to perch high. They aren't high from the living area stand point, but they are way above the stairs and the entry way downstairs, so it is a soul satisfying perch for them.

And now that she has seen that Mom noticed, and perhaps noticed herself that Mom was concerned, it would not surprise me if she did it deliberately when Mom is around. That little blonde monster in my sig does daredevil poses on the top stairs over an eight foot or so drop any time she sees Mum in a position to notice.

Quite the little adventure your girl had!

Thank you! She did, and Jennie is my challenge when it comes to getting her to exercise.

"soul satisfying".
She looks really high up in those pictures! That's so funny that Mazy just had to tell on her sister.
