So my kitty Jasmine (17 yo) has been losing weight the past year, maybe longer. Her back legs seem a bit weak.
Then two weeks ago I saw that she was bleeding from her lower end... either the butt or vagina, wasn't sure which. A bit later she passed something. I kept it in the refrigerator, and she seemed to be o'kay afterwards... purring, eating, etc. So I took and wait and see approach.
Then this past sunday she had the same thing... but she was dripping blood and I could see that it was clearly coming from her vagina area. And she again passed something.
Took her to the vet yesterday and had a lookover, blood and urine work done. He also wanted an xray, but I thought I'd try the blood and urine first, and then go from there. Vet said what she passed were rather large blood clots.
I got the results back, but have yet to hear back from my vet on his diagnosis.
She has the following items that are running high:
ALT (SGPT) 196 U/L (ref. range is 10-100) - this one seems to indicate liver right?
BUN 21.8 mmol/L (ref. range is 5-12.9) - looks like high protein, possible GI bleeding?
Cholesterol 6.81 mmol/L (ref. range is 1.94-5.7)
Amylase 1553 U/L (ref. range is 100-1200) - looks like pancreas?
Neutrophils 9.1 (ref. range is 2.5-8.5) - possible stress/infection/cancer?
WBC 21-50 HPF (ref. range is 0-3)
RBC 4-10 HPF (ref. range is 0-3)
Protein 2+ (ref. range is neg)
Blood 2+ (ref. range is neg)
Casts none seen LPF
Crystals non seen HPF
Bacteria Rods 10-25 HPF (ref. range none)
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Sandra
