Hello all! I wanted to update everyone on Jada's kittens. They will be 7 weeks on Thursday. My, how time flies when you're having fun!
We have so enjoyed these little guys and girls and are bracing ourselves now for when they leave us in about another month. We have decided to keep 2 of them which means we will now have 4 permanent cats. (Jada, Jazz, Juby Junior and Jasmine) The other 2 kittens have great homes they will head off to at around 11 -12 weeks old.
I am curious if there is anything I can do to make this transition easier on them, thier siblings, Jada and Godfather Jazz. They are such a big happy "family" right now. I was thinking that when they are around 9 weeks old I am going to seperate the 2 kittens who will be adopted out from the rest for long periods of time. They are both being adopted out where they will be the only cat in the house. So I'm wanting to get them ready for this sort of life. I was thinking about putting one in each of our bedrooms at nighttime too with beds, food, water and litter box. Will this help with the transition or just make matters harder? I just want to do what's best for all the cats.
I'm also adding some new pics of the kittens and our happy feline family. Just as a reminder to everyone Jazz has been neutered now for over a month and Jada is scheduled to be spayed in 2 weeks.
Here they all are napping together.
Little Juby using the litter box! Good kitty!
Juby Junior (the one we're keeping) suckling and sleeping. So cute!
Juby Junior trying to look big for the camera.
Little Jada is a sweetheart.
Little Jasmine (we're keeping her) all curled up in a blanket in the sunshine.
Our amazing Jazz being a sweet godfather and protector. I was amazed when I walked in the room and saw him like this. They are all asleep and Jasmine is asleep up on his back.
