There have been few photo-ops lately (mainly because Sophie and Jack are too energetic to sit still for pictures!), but I have a few items to share.
Sophie's TCS picture (note the computer screen in the background!). Believe it or not, this was not planned - if it had been, I would've cleaned up my desk first!
Jack wondering why on earth there's a drooling 100-lb furball in his personal space?!
And, Jack and Sophie-Ann having some together time.
And finally.......
I have some video showcasing each kitty, but I will forewarn you before you view these...they are LONG. A friend who lives out of state and hasn't met my kitties, asked me to make some videos so she could see them in action. The resulting videos - one for each cat - are significantly longer than the typical "cute kitty" video snips. There are lots of pauses while waiting for uncooperative kitties to come out from under beds/behind corners, lots of me talking to them in a silly voice, and lots of Sophie-Ann appearing as a black silhouette with no discernable features because there was not enough light. That said, I still wanted to share for anyone who wants to watch a min or two and see these two crazy babies on the move!
WARNING: I would recommend lowering your sound when these start - they were taken with a digital camera meant mainly to take still photos, so the sound quality is overly-loud and not great.
Jack's video (about 5 mins): In which Jack shows off his self-taught fetching skills, capers about like a madman, talks to the camera, and then commandeers the top of my desk for use as a bed. [That's right - smart boy taught himself to play fetch!]
Sophie's video (about 8 mins): You can probably skip the first 4 mins altogether...while she does jump around a bit, most of the beginning consists of Soph hiding under the bed while "tracking" the laser pointer. [Note - it's really hard to aim a camera and a laser pointer at the same time!] She's really difficult to see - as a black cat she doesn't show up well - but I caught some cute faces, airplane ears, and laser-chase spaz sessions in the second half of the video.
