Anyone remember that book?  I loved it as a kid and my DD loves that as a bedtime story.  Tonight I almost turned it into a live show!!

I made Sausage Cheese Balls for the lady who runs the nursery at church.  She and I used to work together too and she asks if I'm making them every time we have a potluck at church.  So I've been planning on making her a batch for her birthday (one "ball" for every year!
) and of course now that it was her birthday I forgot!  So I had to stay up baking them tonight.

I greased the pan like it said to in the recipe; but apparently not enough because I sent a few flying trying to get them off the pan!!
It's a good thing that recipe makes about 7 dozen of them!  I taste tested; they are good in spite of some sticking like that.  We will enjoy the leftovers tomorrow too!

You know; sending food flying is probably a sign I need to get some sleep too. So I'm off to bed!

I don't know the book at all, but the reality sounds entertaining

:lol3: I vaguely remember that title... Those meatballs sound delish though and I'm sure your friend will be pleased!

Cool! I remember that book. What a nice thing to do! And they sound really good....even the ones that went flying!

They were.  I sampled.  And kept the leftovers.
I got a squeal and a huge hug when she saw them.
She cracked up when I told her there was one for every year.
(Hint: It's a milestone birthday!)  I'm pretty sure she said she wasn't sharing with her kids either.

Thankfully Bisquick, shredded cheddar, AND ground hot Italian sausage were on sale so I made some too! :D

What a sweet gift by the way!

Ooo!  Good deal!  I had enough bisquick on hand and the sausage in the freezer.  That helped me!

The cats snuck one for sampling. Must have liked them since I had a hard time keeping them away from them after that! Bad monkeys.

Not sharing?? I don't blame her one bit!
