Hello! My Otter is nearly two years now. Around 14 pounds (I was told by three vets she is not over weight, but highly muscled), a domestic short hair. She has been fixed but not declawed. No signs of distress/sickness/etc.
What I notices is, from time to time, she has issues jumping up, and then landing. She can jump, but anything higher than around three feet is a challenge. She isn't missing, but it's like she get enough spring behind her jump. I have a cat tree that sits about four and a half feet high. When she attempts to jump on it, she only makes it it a second tier, then has to haul herself to the top. Then when she jumps down, she kind of stumbles. But this only happens from higher heights, and not all of the time. There is sometimes she can get up and down just fine. She does kind of waddle, but I always thought it was because she was raised by a dog before I took her in, and he waddles. She isn't in any pain, and is a very active and hyper thing with her sister.
Dean.
