I was hoping I wouldn't have to post here for a very long time, but unfortunately things aren't always that simple.
My beloved Isis went into the vets Valentines Day after not eating the whole weekend and becoming what I referred to as being drunk like.
She was diagnosed with Kidney problems, hepatitis and fatty liver due to loosing 4 of her little 13 pounds in just under a week.
They put her on fluids and told us to call the next day and they'd tell us how she was. We did and she wasn't better so I went to see her right after work. I stayed just a little while because I didn't want to stress her further,Told her how much I loved her, kissed her and left.
While we were finishing up our errands my phone rings, I answered and the Vet was on the other line. He told me Isis tried but just didn't have any fight left in her. She passed away Tues at 4:30. We ran down to the vets right then and there and they let me hold her, my now lifeless baby..
It feels like someone ripped out my heart and ran it through a shredder...I know she's not suffering anymore and is at Rainbow Bridge, but the pain I feel will always be there...Rest now my little Tortie, I will see you again! I love and miss you!
