I was wondering how many of us on here have our kitties fixed.
When my first cat adopted me I knew NOTHING about cats. sHE SUDDENLY BECAME fat and had 4 kittens. Soon as we could wean them she was spayed, BUT it was too late. Some years later she died of liver cancer spread from her mammary cancer. Her daughter was spayed at 8 months, and my Ben was neutered at 8 months. Panther and Missy were s/n when they found me BUT Kotton was spayed late in life. I have NO idea how old she is but I worry lke crazy!Originally Posted by Roxy_loves_CJ

Around here it is a very common expression/term. It is the unisex way of saying s/n. Any vet knows what you are talking about, and sometimes the shelter says that they are fixed on petfinder.com (most of the time it is altered though). It isnt a bad term, so I see nothing wrong with using it.Originally Posted by CyberKitten
I clicked other, my cat isn't broken, she's just fine thank you!!! She is however spayed even tho she is a show quality Siamese. This is ot a term I would ever use, fixed? Fixed????
Fixed is the most common term in the US, I'd say.Originally Posted by CyberKitten

dexsexed is commonly used in Europe and Australia. I just have always heard altered or spayed/neutered. Fixed is something you might do to your car, not your cat.Originally Posted by CJandBilly
