My Lily is a fraidy cat. If you try to hold her when someone comes over to show them to her, she pees on you.

I just leave her to hide!

Mine all do that. But they will come out the more a person comes over. Although, each of them have come out from the very first time to different people.

That's pretty much the same with my cats, only (alpha) Mister is always the first one out. The others follow in different orders with different people.
