Just to confirm that what you are experiencing is completely "normal", whatever that is.
I get in about an hour before I head out for work, and then log in in the office. Some days I can't spend much time on TCS, but it's there whenever I need to air my brain, and I post less during the day than other times. Evenings depend on other demands, but I can usually spend at least a couple of hours...

I've contemplated developing some sort of a TCS 12 Step Program.

The first step is admitting you have a problem
Second Step, disconnecting your internet
Third, recognizing a "higher power". This higher power is known as DSL....

Speak for yourself!
I don't have a TCS problem, I enjoy every minute of my addiction. And I'm already on DSL, so it's worse than you thought.

I don't have a computer at work, so I have to feed my addiction at home, while the wife isn't looking.

TCS takes "normal" to a whole new level!

Just to inform you all, there is no cure for TCS! Blizzard Entertainment made World of Warcrack for online gaming geeks. Anne made thecracksite for people who love cats. Oops... did I say crack?
 There is no cure... no antidote... no 12 step program to be conceived... not even for Mods and Admin!

What are you saying Ryan? There's no cure? There's no hope for us at all???
What if one were to do this:
? Would that help?

BTW, when I quoted you, I noticed the code on your smilies...hee!

Yes, I modified that smilie on my own and had to call it that to keep people from stealing it.

Smashing your computer will not help. It will only escalate the problem to greater heights!

It all seemed so innocent... at first. Looking at kitty pictures, reading about kitties, talking about kitties, making friends with other people who have kitties... then, spending more time looking at kitty pictures, reading more about kitties, talking more about kitties, making more friends with other people who have kitties...

At first, it was something to do in my free time. They all start that way, don't they? MmmHmm. Now I have no free time. I even put off things I should do to feed this TCS addiction... I don't eat. I don't sleep...
(just kidding about the eating and sleeping part)
