Does your boyfriend think of you as a strong independent woman or is he just plain lazy?
If its the strong independent woman, he can just forget sometimes that you can be vulnerable like anyone else. B forgets sometimes that I do have my vulnerabilities.
If he's just plain lazy, then I would put him on a trial period. Don't particularly set him up for failure, but start asking/doing stuff that may or may be something that he should care about. If he fails all the time, then you really need to open your eyes.
For example, if you're sick, you can't move, is he willing to go to the store for you to pick up medicine?
Sometimes things can work out if you do work on them, but if he isn't willing to bend his spoiled brat ways, then this isn't the relationship for you. Not all relationships will work just because you feel you need to keep working on it.
