Is this a sign of something else?

I have an older cat and recently he's been doing something that's kinda worrying me. It sounds like he's sneezing repeatedly but he looks like he's about to throw up. I can't tell if he might have something in his troat or if it's maybe even something like pneumonia. Im thinking about taking him to the vet but it's harder to get an appointment these days as I'm sure you all know. If you guys have any ideas what could be causing this or any idea how to help until I can see a doctor it would be very appreciated. )

Could be asthma. He definitely needs to be checked out by a vet.

I forgot to mention this but it's been going on for only two or three days and since we just had a big storm pneumonia was the first thing I thought of.
