My teen cat (roughly 5 months old) was chewing on a toy tonight when I heard a snap and to my surprise his fang was loose! It promptly fell out but did not bleed much. My cat continued as normal, no signs of pain or anything, and he does have what might be an erupting adult tooth next to it, but I feel awful after hearing his little tooth crack! Do you think this was a baby tooth? [emoji]128576[/emoji][emoji]128575[/emoji]

Hello thull08, yes, that's his baby tooth and it looks like it's one of the canines.

Usually they come off while they are chewing on something while teething. Your boy is going through his teething period as the adult's teeth are emerging and pushing out the baby teeth.

He should have his full set of adult's teeth when he is 7 months old.

At this moment, he'll be chewing on things as he might feel a little uncomfortable in his mouth. Give him some soft toys to bite ;)
