So I'm sitting here at the PC and hubby says honey there's a cat on the front porch it wants in.
Its very late and cold so I run down, and head outside. Precious tortie girl, who is polydactyl is very cold. Bless her heart, I've never seen her in the neighborhood, she's wearing a flea collar, feels well fed but I give her some food--she scarfs it down. I decide that due to my cats the only option I have is to put her in the carrier with a towel and cover her well with a big blanket and leave her on the porch til morning.
I hopped on craigslist and posted a lost ad--hopefully somebody will respond by morning. It seems she knew that a porch with a door was the place to get warmth and food and apparently our porch and door give off that we love cats smell!
If no one responds--she'll head to the shelter tomorrow probably, cuz I hate for her to spend another freezing night outside. If she wasn't so dark in color I could check her for fleas and keep in her the bathroom tomorrow night--we'll see maybe tomorrow in the light I can get a better look at her. If she was flea free she could stay til Saturday. I've been itching to look at a particular cat at the shelter....
