She is absolutely beautiful. Enjoy the babies.
so she should be 59days today,I can see lots of big movements today she is very keen on her nesting box,if the kittens were born anytime soon would they be ok?
Kittens dont manage premature deliveries well, much worse than human babies. As Englishgarden says. Its the body fats, but its perhaps foremost the lungs - the lungs develops rapidly the last days of pregnancy. So a premature born kitten is always a fight uphill if he survives the delivery and minutes after. Although we had here a case of a four days premature whom did managed, even without big troubles (the rest of the litter was born 4 days later, that is why we can pinpoint the premauture to be 4 days). This is afaik the record by far. Seeing shadows of flying witches and dragons is the next step in the probabilities scale.
No, they need to be born around the 65th day for them to have enough body fat to protect them. Kittens can not regulate their own body temperature and depend on the mother for body warmth, therefore they need the extra fat to protect them from the dangers of hypothermia, which is a common cause of kitten death.
After day 58, they can be well enough to survive in the real world as everything they need should be developed. But it's best to hope for around day 63-65, because the longer inside the mom, the better. But don't worry, if they are born on day 59, it can go just fine. But it also can't, so if it does happen they are born on day 59, keep a very good eye on them and make sure they are breathing okay (no weird sounds etc) and are growing steadily and drinking well.so she should be 59days today,I can see lots of big movements today she is very keen on her nesting box,if the kittens were born anytime soon would they be ok?
