One of my cats has done this twice. It happened once a few months ago and then again yesterday. It scared the crap out of me. I was afraid that I have an asthmatic cat on my hands or something even worse. I am very familiar with what an asthmatic cough in a cat sounds like because I used to have a cat with asthma, but she used to do it almost constantly until the vet finally diagnosed her and got her medicine sorted out. What my cat was doing yeaterday sounded exactly like that. Since it has only happened twice though, could he have just gotten a "frog" in his throat, or should I call the vet? It really worries me.
