Every cat is different, one of my foster cats last year did not have milk until the moment she started to deliver. I personally wouldn't leave her alone, but that's just me.

Thanks for all of the good information, my husband will be home, but he is dead to the world when he is sleeping, so maybe I will try to cancel my trip.
