Is my cat a bengal/bengal mix?

I know this is a question that is asked so many times but i feel like i have a very strong case. His physical traits resemble that of a bengal cat slightly but i would rather explain his behavior, he does not like to be picked up or held, but he loves being around me, he'll even wait outside my room at night until i let him in and will paw at the door of my room before i go in sometimes to be there with me. He isn't scared or dislikes water and he's very smart. I hope that's enough information and i have attached two pictures of him.

No immediate bengal ancestry. Most probably domestic short hair.

He MAY purely theoretically have an Ancestor. Because striped tabby is dominant over, say classic tabby or its Bengal equivalent.
