Is there a name for a white cat with black blotches? You'd call it a Pinto if it were a horse, or a Holstein (Freisian in the UK) if it were a cow, but is there a special name for that patten in cats?

The entire staff at the local vet's office all believe that male, orange kitties are the sweetest, best pets too!


I don't know the answer, but it sure seems to me that it would be FAR more an issue of breed traits (or blend of breed!) than of color or sex.

Quite a few of us on TCS call them "cow kitties."

Holstein being the most popular breed of cow in the US. Most Americans would, I think, if you asked them to 'draw a cow', draw a Holstein.
