Is gabapentin constipating?

Hi,
I just started my cat on gabapentin twice a day for possible hyperesthesia syndrome. She is already on amitriptyline as well for cystitis which she has been on since april. Do I need to be concerned about constipation with gabapentin? She's had a few issues in the past with meds. Just wondering if that's a common side effect.

I have a dog on daily gabapentin and he is not constipated. Most of the literature states that diarrhea is a side effect in some cases, unusual, but possible. However, oddly enough, amitriptyline is considered to be constipating.

I knew amitriptyline was but I was unsure about gabapentin
