We used to break down dog-size Advantage tubes to treat our large crew of cats, but switched to Frontline for the added tick protection about two years ago. The Frontline stopped being effective (to the point where it does absolutely nothing), so we decided to go back to Advantage II.
However, after I ordered and received a package of the Advantage from 1800petmeds, I noticed that there is a warning on the box that I've never seen before: "Keep cats away from treated dogs for 24 hours. If applied to or ingested by a cat, contact your veterinarian."
Does anyone know if it's still safe to break the Advantage down for the cats?
