This post makes me sad, it just brought up a memory.
A family I knew got me this crystal shamrock from Ireland back in 2001, and it had the Irish Blessing engraved in it.
It's back in Maine somewhere... probably thrown out by my former step father, I will never see that again.
I'm so sad now.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the rain fall softly upon your fields.
And the sun shine warm upon your face.
And when you die, may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.
There is a lovely choral arrangement of this. However, the last sentence is replaced by "May God hold you in the palm of His hand." It's a beautiful melody, and very touching.
