So my family has decided to adopt two puppies from a stray mother’s litter, as the mother had died, leaving behind the 4 1/2-5 week old puppies... And our cat who has never met puppies before, has no idea what to do, whenever she sees them, she hisses... And we all know she got along fabulously with Hemi after a while after Freya moved in.
From what we know of the adoption center telling us, the puppies are used to cats, as they mixed them in with the kittens in another cats litter after the mother died, to keep them warm, so they’re already used to cats.
Is it the fact they’re puppies that are throwing her off? Any way to help acclimate her to them better? Help.
