Hi Thought i would introduce myself and my fur kids. My name is Lisa and the Kitty Kids are named Snoopy, Sadie, Allie, Kaitlin, Gunner, Madison, Keatin, Widgen, Zoey, and Harley. Noah and Carly are two recovering Ferals that are also staying with us. (Carly had a broken jaw and Noah was frozen in a crawl space in the garage) The oldest is going on 16 and Diabetic and the youngest is 5 months. All of them were someone elses garbage (now my treasures) except for Maddie she is a Maine Coon. They are all much loved and except for the youngest two and the Ferals, spayed and neutured. They share there home with two dogs also, Skeeter and KayLee.
I've been coming to this site amoungst others since last spring seeking information regarding the Pet Food Recall, then researching info on F.I.P. and TNR for Ferral Cats. Finally decided to sign up as a member to further see if I could receive some help with TNR and Ferals but am hesitant to even post about that. Still undecided.
It has been a most difficult last nine months for us and our fur kids. We lost 3dogs to renal failure, Bummer, Tess and Sammy. My oldest daughter lost her beloved dog Skye to renal failure also during that time. My little Kashi kitboy lost his fight to F.I.P. after almost seven months of struggle and lastly the day after Thanksgiving we lost our almost 13 year old dog Chloe to an extremely aggressive from of spleen and heart cancer. Needless to say my heart is heavy and the grieving continues.
I'm sure this is not the cheeriest intro ever but it's the best I can do for now. Looking forward to continuing learning and perhaps I will have something to offer along the way also.
