Infection or Pregnant perks

Hi! Our cat will be giving birth seven or ten days from now, I noticed she had some vaginal discharge, it was gooey and yellow(?). I tried cleaning it off but it didn’t stop it from secreting, so I decided to let it be. Then the next morning i noticed the gooey part dried like solidified and i couldn’t take it off as it’s like glued in place. Is this what they call the mucus plug? or is this some disease or infection?

Hi! I'm not a veterinarian or an expert, but I believe the discharge is normal. I don't know if that's the actual plug though.

Do you have a vet you can call in case of emergency, and their 24-hour number?

It’s probably normal discharge. Try to soften the dried stuff with a damp cloth and remove it if you can.

Swell! Tx for telling! So we know it was harmless whatever it was, and probably it was the mucus plug, coming out less than a week before delivery.
