Unfortunately, this tragedy is a prime example of the dynamics of domestic violence. With the worst abuse cases, violence becomes more fatal once the abuse survivor leaves the batterer. The batterer feels that their power and control over their partner is fading away and they will stop at nothing to keep that power and control, even if it means murder.
This is such a tragic, tragic case, though not isolated in the least

Gail, my thoughts and prayers are with you and their family. That is so horrible and very, very sad.

We had a similar situation happen here at work several years ago. My boss was murdered by her husband when she tried to leave him. Same thing, she had a restraining order and all, did no good. So sad...especially for the children involved.

Such evil people in this world.

How hard that must be to believe.

Yeah, a little girl at my temple I really care about...her mom passed away from cancer. Its so hard to believe that she's dead...that I'll never see her again in this life.

I'm so sorry. How scary.
