I adopted Stella in February from a local shelter that I hold very near and dear to my heart. They have all the cats in one big room to mingle, play, and share space with. Unfortunately it also contributed to a mass URI in all of their cats.
Stella and I have been fighting with her URI since I brought her home. Sneezing, sneezing, more sneezing, and the most worrying thing is her left eye that continuously oozes discharge. The first vet we went to put her on Clavamox for cats and that seemed to help...for about a week. A couple of more weeks by and her eye never let up on the discharge and her sneezing came back, so back to the vet we went. I took her to a different vet (and unfortunately more expensive - I say unfortunately because she's still not cleared up for the money spent) and they put her on a Lysozyme supplement that she takes with her wet food and a little white pill that she took half of twice a day.
Here we are several weeks later after that vet visit. Nothing. Is. Working.
Her eye is very concerning to me. It doesn't let up, it seems to clear when Stella is on her medication but as soon as we're out of pills or liquid meds it comes right back up. I clean it up daily but it keeps coming back...a yellow/brownish discharge.
I'm at wits end. I do not think she's in pain but I dang sure wouldn't want my eye oozing consistently like hers is, the poor thing. Can somebody please offer me any suggestions?
