Last night, a few of us co-workers got together to dye a portion of our hair pink, in honor of another coworker who's going through Chemo for Breast Cancer.
I've never dyed another person's hair.. but let me say, I did a GREAT job on them. Their color was even, bright pink and strong, as it should be.
No one seemed to put as much effort into my hair. My neck is more pink than my hair, my hair has been poorly, unevenly bleached, and they didn't put enough dye in after. the placement's under my hair in the back or I'd do it myself. I can't see back there. I am embarrassed to even post my hair on FB on the honor page since it looks horrible, and everyone else's looks awesome. I had to ask them to take my pic down. At least it's under and I can hide it. Now I'll have to buy regular hair dye and redo my hair back to normal.
I did show the Breast Cancer friend, and she was like "Oh, you didn't go pink like everyone else.." and I felt like I let her down.
The two that did my hair was like "Oh, why are you upset?".. well.. duh. You two did a crappy job
I am glad I wore an old t-shirt, since they ruined that too, lol.
Sorry, I really needed to vent. It seems trivial and nothing to get upset over.. it's hair and it can be fixed.. but the whole point of doing my hair pink is to honor someone with Breast Cancer, and that wasn't done right, and I did a great job on their hair.
