A while back I used to post on here on a semi-frequent basis but circumstances changed that did not allow me to spend much time on the computer.
I have finally settled down in Washington again! My fiance and I hit the road again with our furbaby Bean Bean to make the cross-country trip.
I originally joined this forum seeking helpful advice for traveling so long in the car with my cat and I am happy to say that the trip was even more smooth this time. Bean Bean was completely relaxed after about the first hour of our trip and totally chill the whole way.
He was even cool when our car ran out of gas and he got to go for a ride in a big tow truck!
We also had a flea problem that developed a few months back that finally got nipped in the bottom. It took forever to solve because of our living situation we were not allowed to bomb the house, which was a last resort anyways. And the family that I was living with refused to treat their animals. So it was a never ending cycle.
The way we finally combated it was to bathe poor kitty very well RIGHT before we left and put him in the car immediately afterwards. Just to be on the safe side I gave him one gentle bath with baby shampoo on the last night of our week stay in Nevada and he hasn't been this comfortable in a long time.
I always feel so bad when he looks at me with such remorse and hate after a bath, but I know it was for the best and much better than using harsh pesticides on him.
How is everyone doing here?? I'm about to go check out the rest of the forum and see whats been happening!
its good to be back!
